Profile
June 14, 2007 — Adrian WhelanI’m a writer, photographer, traveller, guitarist, dj and dreamer based in Brighton, UK.
I’ve been traveling to South East Asia in general, and to Thailand in particular, for almost twenty years. My many visits have ranged in length from a few days to six months.
Thailand is my spiritual home; a country that I know well and love deeply. Since my first visit in 1988 I have returned many times, on trips lasting from 3 days to 6 months. Although there is much more to discover, I have travelled through a large part of the Kingdom, from the well known beach resorts to rarely visited provinces in the north.
I know Bangkok better than some of my Thai friends, understand enough of the language and culture to make travelling around a pleasure, and can sniff out a good noodle soup at fifty metres.
This collection of stories, articles and observations is my Thailand.
